RAM Energy - the power of choice

Who we are

RAM Energy is a not-for-profit energy brand created especially for the people of Derby and the Midlands.

Brought to you by a partnership between Derby City Council and Robin Hood Energy, our aim is simple: to save you money on your energy bills.

Too many of us are stuck on expensive rates for our gas and electricity, when we could be on better deals. We give people the power of choice – making it easy to switch to one of our low cost tariffs.

Because we’re not-for-profit, we have no need to pay shareholder dividends or director bonuses. This means that we can keep prices low for everyone.

In line with the Council’s vision for a safer and stronger city, RAM Energy is also focussed on helping some of our most vulnerable people - both in Derby and across the wider region.

We estimate that about 15% of our population is living in fuel poverty, meaning that many of our residents have to decide whether to ‘heat or eat’. We work especially hard to support those on expensive and uncompetitive tariffs, to find a better deal.

Most importantly, RAM Energy offers excellent service to everyone – our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

We are here to give you the power of choice.
